Family Ministries Assistant

We are looking for a Family Ministry Assistant to join our team. This individual will work with our Kids and Preschool staff and will be responsible for managing the logistics, communication, and data for elementary and preschool services and events, while ensuring that our family ministry environments are safe and consistent for discipleship.

The ideal candidate should be able to manage multiple projects and have strong problem solving and organizational skills. He or she should be an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail. Ultimately, the primary objective of this position will be to support the Preschool Director and Kid’s Pastor administratively. This is a part-time position for 32 hours per week.

Job Overview:
Glorify God by helping people become faithful followers of Jesus by assisting our Preschool Director and Kid's Pastor administratively. The Family Ministries Assistant helps manage the logistics, communication, and data for children's ministry and preschool services and events, and ensures that our ministry environments are safe and consistent for discipleship.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist with volunteer training and onboarding
  • Run and maintain weekly attendance reports
  • Stock and organize ministry resource areas
  • Assist in maintaining ministry areas
  • Prep weekly curriculum and supplies
  • Meet with family ministry staff to calendar plan
  • Manage volunteer team rosters
  • Assist in event planning and preparation
  • Assist in managing parent resources
  • Manage ministry subscriptions 
  • Prepare weekly worship and videos for children’s ministry environments

Key Behavioral Areas:
  • Attend weekly huddles with Preschool Director and Kid’s Pastor.
  • Serve in one service per Sunday in Preschool or Kid’s Ministry and on Wednesday evenings when Wednesday church activities are in session. 
  • Attend one all-staff meeting per month.
  • Build volunteer teams to support the ministry as needed. 

The Family Ministries Assistant needs to:
  • Develop and maintain your own relationship with Jesus to live above reproach.
  • Display excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Possess a genuine heart for the discipleship of children and their families.
